Getting Started with Vera

Updated this week

Using Vera is simple! Just open and search. Here are some quick tips that will help you get started.

  • When you first open Vera, or whenever you get logged out of Veracross, it will prompt you for your tenant ID. This is whatever comes after axiom.veracross.com/ and is typically between three and four characters.

  • Once you enter your tenant ID and press submit, the extension will load. Please keep the extension open while it loads so it can cache your data properly.

  • Use CMD+SHIFT+V to open the extension from your keyboard.

  • Pin the extension to your Chrome toolbar for easy access.

Troubleshooting Keyboard Shortcuts

If you have other Chrome Extensions installed, there may be a conflict with Vera's default keyboard shortcut. You can change the shortcut by following the instructions below.

  1. Launch Google Chrome on your computer.

  2. Go to Extensions Page: Type chrome://extensions/ into the address bar and hit Enter.

  3. On the Extensions page, look for the menu on the left-hand side and click on "Keyboard Shortcuts" at the bottom.

  4. You'll see a list of your installed extensions and their current shortcuts. Chrome's built-in shortcuts are usually not listed here but are already active.

  5. To change a shortcut, find the extension you want to customize, click on the box next to the action, and then press the new key combination you'd like to assign.

  6. Once you've entered the new shortcut, it should automatically save. Test it out to make sure it works as expected.
